I take the belt off the alternator and one of the bolts that hold it then swing it out of the way to make room. On the tranny side I took a 12mm cheap socket and ground down the edges so as to make it thinner and shorter so it clears those two nuts on that corner. Also there are brackets , two, that support the intake ... Those bolt lower on the block, but just take them completeley off to save your blood lol.

I used flexible ratchet wrenches like these:

You can get them at Sears

Well I got them off,I just chopped the manifold off with a reciprocating saw, then took the last nut out.Now I just have to figure out how to run the coolant hoses, does anyone have a pic of how they go.

Well that's one way to do it. I think you win the brute force award for this month.

LOL! I was gonna say, taking the dogbone brackets off makes it way easier, but hey sounds like you got the job done!

It takes years of experience grabbing more than one cookie from the jar without getting your hand stuck.

So I have a question, the coolant hose that went to the old intake and came out the bottom and went to the water pump tube gets run straight to that tube now. Also the hose that goes to the iacv goes to the fiv and then to the hose the original one went to .Is this correct.

Well she's running but full of air in the system, she keeps reving up and down.Any faster way to get the air out,I got the rad cap off with the heater on.

Do you have the bleeder bolt open? Parking the car on an incline also helps.

Yeah had it open and on an incline, air is all out and it idles pretty good. It's around 800,but then it goes up alittle sometimes.not sure,I'm gonna take it for a shake down run a little latter.

Or smashing the jar open lol.

Import racer, are you sure you don't have a vacuum leak somewhere? For the coolant system, all you have to do is run the car with the radiator cap off for a little.

This jar got smashed for certain lol.

Just reving the engine to get a good stream out of the bleeder after the thermostat opens should do it quick enough.

I don't think I have a vacuum leak,I took the hoses off and cut the end off to make sure they went on tight.Maybe there is still a air pocket still in it like I said it idles at around 800 most of the time but sometimes it creeps up to 1100 then comes back down.I guess the coolant hoses are correct. The intake sat for a while so don't know.

Did you install a new manifold gasket?

I bleed it like bleeding brakes. revving the motor I pop open the bleeder then shut it let the motor rev down etc. Do it a few times. I use a deep socket and rachet so you dont get scalded. The hoses on the IAVC I have had to loosen the top one and i could hear air escaping (motor running) to get air out there too.

Make sure the adjuster screw o ring is intact. Try backing off half a turn on that screw with the car off, then crank it and see if it shortens the rpm difference between the highest and lowest you have now.

Well it was so much easier to put the other manifold on compared to the old one.

Bled it some more with the rad cap off and still had some air bubbles, its better but idle still goes up and down a little.I guess I still have a little air in it,never had an easy time getting cooling system bled on Honda's.

This funnel works great for bleeding cooling systems. Lisle 24610 Spill-Free Funnel : Amazon.com : Automotive (http://www.amazon.com/Lisle-24610-Spill-Free-Funnel/dp/B001A4EAV0). You might find a cheaper one on eBay. I found mine there for $25.
