Rquired very minimal modifications to get em up. Will need some fiberglass to finish the job and some light bondo to make the curves correct, but wow im happy with the puppies. I was going to sell them and wasnt having any luck so i thought why not.
More pics to come...

Pretty damn good fit! Nice work! Now you need some front and rear lips to match!

I'm surprised at how well the curves match (Y) Nice work!

I wonder if a 3g bumper would work on a 2g hmm it sorta look like it might fit a 1g so :D

Now you gotta get the quarter panel fixed lol

Ha no kidding. I want it done correctly. definately not by me. 2,800$ is what they are asking form a good shop here in columbus.
Wait, is that a xenon rear for a 3g in the picture Haz? Or just a stock 3g?

What wouold be the best way to go about removing this paint? Its like eggshell on the sideskirts. Im chippinsg some off by hand but is there a more efficent way?

Media blast? They started stripping corvettes like that now and it used to be by using paint remover, plastic squegee, scuff pads and laquer thinner.

You could start with a pressure washer.

I think the pressure washer would do a little bit. That is a good idea! maybe not entirely like you suggested but this lacquer thinner won't damage the material?

I have begun adding the layers of fiberglass jelly. I must say it is alot easier to work with than the bondo crap. I am begging the the sanding process and using some primer/filler to even out the pits. I really like the way they are turning out i hope they last!

Aren't you supposed to be putting the fiberglass on the inside of the damaged part, and then filling in the broken area? If you put the fiberglass on the outside, don't you end up just building up material on the outside that you have to sand off to make everything smooth?

To be honest I do not know. The outside needed to be hit because of all the cracks and need to fill the gap between the two parts. I hadto cut out about 6 inches from the sideskirt. It was too long. So Icut the excess out and shortened the length length fiberglassed the inside and outside for strength.

Are those parts made from fiberglass originally? Or are they some kind of urethane?

Urethane. This stuff is freaking awesome fold this shit up in my dresser drawer

Be careful what filler and stuff you use then. A lot of standard metal fillers and stuff don't properly bond to urethane. I think you need special adhesives and fillers that are urethane compatible.

Thank you for the heads up. I wondered the same. Not sure what would actually be the best then. It appears to be holding a tight bond as of now. But I just suck balls at sanding and making it look nice Lol. I'm using a bumper coating spray to color them. To match the bumpers. My eyes still can tell that there is some obvious modification to the part. But then idk. I'm really critical of my own work

Well, if I were you, I'd hit up an auto body supply store. That's what I do when I'm working on something, those guys tend to really know their stuff!

I will do that this week and do some research. I really might even look into paying someone to do it properly. I hate body work. I think BC you have to be so precise hah. I just like swinging hammers and banging on shit
