View Full Version : Another version of headlight conversion

I see this car all the time at car shows and I thought I would post it so you could see a different headlight conversion instead of flip-ups and fifth gen Prelude. Although I don't like this style of paint you have to give the guy props for the quality and time that went into it.

that thing looks awful. he gets props on the work but the paint looks like someone threw up on it.

What the hell is that, a car named star gazer? Awesome body work though. Paint is really nice too, but a little much. Hope he doesnt get in a fender bender, how would you match that paint!

That car makes me want to :barf: It looks like he couldn't decide on a color of paint, so he used EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!

that is the ugliest paint job i've ever seen. I can't stand to look at it for very long, but the body molding and headlight conversion looks good. If it were a solid color it would look MUCH better...i agree with pmip... :barf: :barf: :barf:

free hosting sites don't like bandwidth getting leeched by linked images. it's not their fault.. i used to work on a free hosting/email site called mynetcentral and image linking ROCKED our service costs. ended up shutting her down because we were too lenient on our users about space/bandwidth usage.

anyway just right click on the [x], hit properties, copy the url, and paste it into a new browser.

I don't like the paint either but that must have taken alot of work which I give high marks for. I attached the pic so you don't have to cut and paste.

It looks more like a Prelude to me. Look at the back side window.

fist thing when i saw the pic i said it was a prelude, actually for s show car i think the paint job looks awsome, not my color schemem but i bet it earned him a couple of 1st place trophys in his class. and the body work is just off the hook, i cant belive it, i give that car an A+

The body work is clean.
the airbrushing is good but a little to much for this car.
but i could'nt help but notice the base color is yellow
could it be another yellow 3g??
the car is super clean and that's what i like

I agree the body work done to that car is amazing but the paint job has gotta go.

Nope its a Prelude, notice the back window. Compare the back window of that to a 3G coupe, its different.

Here's my old Accord. It's dead now ( :( ). I always wanted to post some pics to show you that you weren't the only yellow 3g ever, but until recently, these pics were never uploaded on a website. I apologize for the grainyness and for the size, i have no idea how to resize them for this site. Could a moderator shrink these maybe? :wave:

yeah, i looked at the pic b4 I read this whole thread, and the first thing I saw was 'LUDE. That's most def.a 'lude. For a show car, that's off 'tha hook. The paint is what makes that car stand out from the crowd. The body work looks great, but it's subtle, so it needed something more. I think that the 5 gallons of paint took care of that one rather effeciently.
