info on the engines

what kinda of an engine do i want for my 1989 honda accord lx, if i want to race it? and what kind do i want, if i just need a new one?? how much do these cost? and where can i get them?

You have an A20A1 if you want to race it I would suggest an efi swap or dual carbs also a b series engint you can get the mounts from placeracing or if you are really serious a h series but it is mad expensive and all thinds are custom. For just play racing get a webber carb headers highflow cat 2.25 dynomax exhaust reground cam accel coil.

But first do a tune up if you have not.

hey ...the meet i just went to in new jersey there was a turbo 3g hatch .. although it was fuel injected and urs is carbed it shows the potental of these motors... he said he dyno'd his car at 325 hp (i think thats what he said) and we saw him run 12 in the quarter mile..and he had a lot of wheel spin so he probally could run a low 11
