Lip question, ?????

was there some kinda lip on some of the accords stock? i went to the junkyard and this accord had this lip on it that fit perfect and wasnt pieced in the middle. I got it for $14
it looks like a crx lip but doesnt flare out as much. on the right of the lip it says Honda. its gonna look tight as hell when i get it on. ohh yea i also got my rear sway bar brackets so hell yea i got lots of shit to keep me busy.

hey mantis, yeah, the 3G did have a lip on it from factory, but only overseas. None here. Post pics when you get it installed.. That might be one hell of a sight to see.

Hey wait a minute I've seen a factory lip on one of the factory honda parts sites, like manchester honda. I was avaliable as a accesory(ms). Of course they don't have any I tried to buy one on the spot. But their are some car's out their where someone did buy those lips when they were still avaliable. I remember a story by someone where they found one on a car at the back lot of a honda dealer. It was a car sitting around for years with a mechanics lean on it.

I can't find the pic but I have posted it before. They came on North American 86 Accords as an option for sure. Not sure about other years. I have a pic of it that came from my Canadian 86 Accord broshure. I've only seen one or two cars with it around here and they no longer carry them (I ask the parts department). I'll post it if I can find it or I'll just scan it.

Like I mentioned in my first post, it's an OEM lip from the factory. It was available as an accessory option but I'm not sure what years. VERY rare.

well ill be damned. i saw a 3gee with that on it when i was visiting West Virginia. it was at the junk yard. i didnt realy think much of it but i guess i need to look for those now.
