I install a Fuel Pressure Gauge about a week ago, and I noticed today going down the interstate, at 60% Throttle in fifth gear the fuel PSI was 40 but kept rhythmically dropping ever 2 seconds about 2 PSI...Is this a sign the Fuel Pump is going out slowly?

I wouldn't attribute this to the FPR or Filter...What could it be? Maybe the gauge ground or power supply is hooked into something that's causing it to pulse?

Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. That's only a 5% change in pressure which isn't that much. And since it only happens under those conditions it's probably just some kind of resonance phenomenon.

could be anything. the solder joints in your main relay even or your alternators regulator

My guess would be that's when the pump actually pumps.
