Do I need wiring and comuters from the car I take the B20A from (prelude 2nd gen). I have A20A4 engine...

I can't find any info about this in the F.A.Q....

The Prelude B20A is not the one you want. While it's very similar in specs to the JDM Accord B20A, it doesn't lean correctly and no one makes mounts for it. Custom stuff would make this swap too little bang for too much buck.

No, he is talking about the right B20A. The wrong one is the 3rd gen Lude B20A. To make it work in your car, you will need the ECU, rear mount, the external ignitor and harness from the donor car, some shielded wire to run the extra wires for a couple sensors to the ECU, and the B20A engine harness to make things easier. The thread I have going at the top is just getting into the wiring stuff but hopefully, I can get into the actual install and stuff real soon.

Yeah I realized that right after I posted, when it brought me back to the thread and I saw that he specified the gen #. I didn't read thoroughly first time, assumed he was talking about the B20Ax. The B20A like in the 3g's overseas was not available in 2g USDM ludes either though, right?

Correct, it wasn't available. Do you think we would be so lucky?

Of course not. Everyone in Japan knows that there are no performance enthusiasts in the Western market... :P

if this is a b20a from an 89 prelude how come it looks exactly like the b20a jdm the thing that makes it tilt like that is the knuckle on the right hand side of the engine and by changing that knuckle from an a20a the engine will straightned and I think you will be able to do the swap with the usdm one

That's the USDM B20A5. You will need custom mounting, hydro to cable clutch conversion, somehow get the shifter which is cable operated to a shift rod, custom axles, and so on.

so I can keep my axels if I change to a lude tranny?

and my euro accord have disc brakes all around, is that the same brakes that is found on the accord 16v?

actually, that engine in the pic above may be one of 3 engines...

#1 - JDM B20A from a 3g lude, same engine i have in my car (89 lude)
#2 - USDM B20A5 - no real visible differences between jdm and usdm cept for the block markings
#3 - USDM B21A1 - i'll double check in the morning, but that throttle body looks like one from a 90-91 lude, not an 88-89... which would make it possibly a B21A1 engine, since the majority of 90-91 ludes were B21A1 powered...

All the EFI accords in the UK have discs all round.
They are the same as on the Accord 2.0i-16 that I have just pulled appart.

So Which motor is the one with the 160 Hp? Is it the JDM 3rd gen Accord with the B20A or is it the JDM 2nd gen prelude with the B20A, or are they the same engine.

They both do as they are the same engine.
