I replaced my timing belt and tensioner today and after I was finished I found a washer laying on the ground. It went with the Adjustment Bolt on the tensioner. Why are there 2 washers one on top of the other?

By memory the washer closet to the head goes outside the cover the inside one on the idler bearing. I think the one on the head of the bolt is made on the bolt. Been a while since i had this apart.
As long as you feel the tensioner is holding tight i woulnt sweat it to much.

Like Blue said, there is only one washer and it holds the tensioner in place. I wouldn't run without it, but that's just me.
