I have to say that your car is very nice and clean. Makes me think that I neglect my car sometimes (she doesn't ever get that clean) How did you get your engine looking so nice? What size rims are those? I'm looking about getting some new rims (smaller size)

Nice looking clean car, I really like the new rims better than the old rims. How long till you get your sprints on? Your waiting for koni's right?

thanks man..! :D ... well the engine is a little old school mechanic style trick that my uncle let me in on.... it was pretty cool because we were in his shop and we were working on my car when he got in the passenger seat and was like "get in we're going somewhere" so I was ok... well he took me to this self-service car wash place and turned the dial on the type of soap to "engine degreaser" and pressure washed the sucker untill it shined like new... then rinsed off the degreaser... well we went back to the shop and he brought out a can of "engine clear coat" and sprayed EVERYTHING with it... then that shit was crazy clean.. and even one month later it still has that coat all over it and the dust just doesnt stick to anything at all.... the first pic of rims are ALT 17's with 205/40 yokohama tires on them... the set that Im running now are 16 inch Enkei CDR9's with 205/45 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires....

Grass doesn't look to bad. I'd recommend more water and tlc to cover the yellow spots. Perhaps sharpen the blades after every 5 cuts or so?

:D Thanks guys!! Yes I have had her for about two years now and I put so many hours of my time into even the little things that cant be shown with a few pics... But there is just soo much more that I cant wait to get done. I have all of these parts that are sitting here so as soon as I get the $$$ flow I'll be able to start working on her again... I had the carb rebuilt a while back and I couldnt beleive how much better the car performed all around... that plus the fliped air lid, catback piping, dynomax mufler... it just makes me wonder how much faster its going to be once I get the headers and hi-flow cat... :D Thanks again for the replys....

headers help 87's really well. When you put the header on, if the car idles oddly at warm up, it's cause the o2 sensor is only reading off of two cylinders. I moved my o2 sensor back beyond the collection point (it's a 4-2-1 piece) in the downpipe. I'll show you when we meet.

sounds good... I have a feeling that we might need to have another meet sometime after I get the headers*hint hint* :D I know what you mean though... just curious.. you always talk about how slow your car is and you have so many performance mods done... headers, msd, cams...ect... whats wrong with your car?

thanks for the support man!!! Ya Im hoping to one day shave the door handles and to all kinds of crazy custom mods that make the car far different then any other 3g. For now.. it'll just be the regular upgrades untill the day comes that I have enough $$$ to play around with things...

Yo, I must take my hat in front of your car. It looks pretty good. I wish i could see it in person.......... and like i told you before, i like your rims but i think the tires are a little bit too big. Are those 205/40????

87AccordsterLx
11-10-2002, 10:22 PM
thanks for all of the compliments guys I really appreciate it...

whats he doin with the hammer?!?!?!

haha... he's ready to hack the shit out of it!!! lol..!!! I think he had just taken the car off of the hydrolic lift... he was straightening my suspention... I think one of my sway bars was bent a little from drifting too many corners... :D

Chubs: thanks man... the enkei's that you are talking about are a light gunmetal color... the pics I took really doesnt bring the color out that much... I think they look much nicer with the paint as well...

Maurice: thanks again man... I really like your ride as well... I use to have that same exhaust untill I moved to GA and got the dynomax. (its actually still in my garage) The enkei's are 16 inch so to make the tire height stock Jim helped me pick out the Kumho's which are 205/45. Just a tad bit bigger then the 205/40's that were on the old rims... The old rims were 17's though so it was still pretty close to stock hight... The difference between the ride quality and smoothness that I gained from going a little thicker on the tires was well noticeable... The ride is no where close to as rough as the thin tires (205/40)...
