Might be time for a new IACV.

Agreed, does sound like IACV. Try blocking it, and see if that solves the situation.

Can u eliminate the iacv all together or do I need it.I'll try and block it off and see if it gets better. Are all the b-series the same,iI think mine is off a 91.So do I use a piece of plastic to block it off.

No they are all different. You should get one from a b16. I just used a piece of cardboard to block it off. You can not eliminate it. The system has to have the IACV connected.

Nevermind.

Ok thanks legend, why the b16 one

Because it is the closest to the a-series that has been found. You LS may work, but it is uncharted territory.

So i talked to a guy at work who used to work at honda,he said to take the cover off the fitv and turn it out a turn.He said it shouldn't be turned in all the way, going to try this on the weekend.

The idle control system is described in detail on pp. 12-43 and following in the manual. Lots of troubleshooting info, etc. There is also a symptom chart on p. 12-40.
