When you turn he key to the II position, do you here a click from under the dash, and then a moaning noise?

I don't hear anything. What does that mean if I hear a click then a moaning noise

The click and moan would mean you fuel pump relay was working. Sounds like yours has stopped.

If I put my ear on my horn I can hear what your saying.

See if it starts when that happens. Mine would get worse if it was hit out. Try getting the fuel pump relay out, and taking the plastic cover off, to see if the leads are bad. Also turn the key to the II position, look under the back of your drivers seat. Pull the little tab on the plastic cover for the ecu, and see if there is a small light flashing.

Based on the initial description, it sounds like a bad starter solenoid to me.

the other option is the ignition switch is stuffed.
get a test light, pull the wee wire of the starter solenoid, put the probe end of the test light in the terminal and the other end to ground then turn the key.
if the test light lights up, the start solenoid is poked or the brushes are really worn.
if the light dosnt light up it is likely the switch is likely bung

If you have a manual transmission, it could be the starter disable switch at the top of the clutch pedal. That switch controls the ground for the coil in a relay that controls the power from the ignition switch to the starter on the man trans accords, so it could also be that relay.

That interlock switch was only used on the 89's, 86-88 models did not have them

Ok, I thought it was on the 88's as well.

Sometimes I wish mine had one, sometimes when I park on a hill I leave it in gear, come back and forget, and the car lurches backward when I go to start it:facepalm:

If it makes you feel any better, I rearranged the front end on my first Accord that way.
