is it bad to lift the lid of a stock air filter? i mean im going to get a K&N air filter and then lift it probably on friday... i get paid on thursday so yeah.. i just want to know if theres any hazards? i read that guys post about lifting it and instructions on how to, its sounds cool but i want to know if there are any hazards of doing this, i dont live in a dusty area so.. yeah, i live in portland or for u to know.

its fine. just try and see how you like it. the only downside is your carb may get real cold in winter, and youll have to change your air filter more often.
