Now that I got a job I can put some dollaz into my car and I want to get some good pads, which ones are the best bang for the buck? My friend got some kickass Raybestos ones for his Ranger that are some weird compound and they come with a lifetime warranty; I don't wanna go over like $80 or $100

AEM pads are pretty good. They perform better than honda pads but not as harsh as some race type pads. They don't put out excessive amount of dust either.

I've got the Honda pads, and they work very well ($50 at dealer, $35 online). They also come with new shims, which alot of aftermarket pads don't come with. If I remember correctly, the Honda pads and the AEM pads are both made by Nissin (?). Axxis Metal Masters are supposed to work very well too, never tried them though.

I'm a big fan of EBC brake pad's. When I ran them with dimpled slotted brembo's they could take what ever I dished out. They never faded on me, even with doing one of my 30 mile maxout suspension testing runs, they hauled me down from triple didget speeds repeatedly with out fade. My next car will have them, the green stuff or red stuff pads. If you take advatage of their performance, they do make dust, though they say they are reduced dust pads. My experience was otherwise.

Reybestos are Pepboys shit! Don't even look at those if your looking for performance.

I'd go for the AEM's or what Jim talked about. They range in your budget.
If you want the AEM's give me a call, i can get them cheaper than any shop around.

Raybestos are not performance pads and maybe you can buy them at Pepboys, but they make good OEM quality products.

I've had the Reybestos ceramics before. They're not as good as my EBC's but they were way better then Honda OEM. They have good grab and don't fade as much as the OEM honda pads. Sorry oldschool have to disagree. But... go EBC!
