Ok guys,

I have a test pipe to replace the cat, I just put my DC header on. Where the header connects to the "cat" (testpipe) there is an indent on the header side for a crush gasket. On the other end of the testpipe goes the stock exaust. I am having trouble sealing the other end. I have tried to replace the gasket 2 times with new ones. :banghead: I cannot get a good seal without a groove to hold the gasket in place. I did notice that the actual cat had grooves in it on both sides (for gaskets) so sealing was not a problem. The testpipe doesn't have any grooves.

My question is does the Pacesetter cat-back exaust have a groove to hold a crush gasket where it connects? Is there some way to get a flange with a groove? or is it pretty much trial and error? And yes I do know the pacesetter cat back is crap, but I planned to cut off the muffler and put my Borla anyway. Any suggestions?
