Psycho Needle

[My 89 Accord Lxi]

tonight i went to taco bell and while i was sitting at the drive thru i looked at my needle and it slowly started moving up...then it went as far up as it could ..then i got scared and then i started moving and my CAI started drawing in air it slowly went down any one know whats causeing this

What needle?
If it's the temperature needle, then you need to check you cooling system. Check the fans and relays and sensors, hoses, water pump and belt. Make sure the overflow tank has coolant.

Sounds like air in your cooling system. Check that your reserve tank has fluid in it like anchovies said. If so then open the bleed screw on top of the thermostat housing after the car is warmed up to let an air out of the system. Close it when coolant comes out.
