I am looking to add a lil to kick my system..
I would like to add two 10" subs, two amps, a power flow and a crossover..
What would be a good crossover to purchase?:)

Try a planet audio or a clarion, www.planetaudiousa.com or clarion.com

why buy a seperate cross over when you can just get one in the amp? I would go that way.

well the amp I am runnin' is a Fosgate Punch.....it's 4 channel and has dual crossovers. I have been happy with it so far. It all depends on what you want to spend.

Kewl...What do you think of the xplod amp??
The reason I ask...Is because I was gonna purchase a Sony MDX Changer, 10" subs, and two amps..( $$650 total )

Don't buy Sony! I manage an install bay in Vancouver, Canada for Future Shop. We have installed a few of the !XPLOD! amps and they're absolutely garbage. The design of these amps are totally installer unfriendly and they also beak down quite a bit. We have had a few warrantied in the last year.

Go for MTX or Rockford.

Of course most amps come with a cross over but. you can get more control with a seperate one.

How much more control do you need than HP, LP, Flat and the frequency?

there is a basic rule of thumb with car audio...and thats go with what you like.

I have had a few different brands in my installs...all run same basic principles

what is your budget?

for 650 get fosgate xlc subs with fosgate amp and try and get the kenwood or panasonic cds with anti skip (10s i think)

alot of pioneer headunits have crossovers built in

The reason the price is 650 is because of the md changer!~~~

Look hears what I would do. I know you must have friends with systems. Just listen to theirs And come up with the best solution. Believe me, it helps, trust me Sony Xplod is........well is says it in the name. They are a waste of money. My boy has some and hes just about ready to chuck them out the window. That whole skips a beat thing, thats entirely true. I had a Sony head unit, But I sold it to some goofy looking dude because I got tired of the skips.
