I've seen a lot of Chico CA people spaced out. Now, let's finally make a get-together for the Chico area. Any Friday or Saturday night we should get together. Clog up the Esplanade wih 3G's! Reply with some idea's of when and where. We could fill the AM/PM lot with Accords where the Shifty Fifty guys hang out. It'd be great. Reply with your ideas.

I'm cool with it if I'm not busy. However, I'm not into racing so don't expect to see me at the illegal tracks.

I don't actually race myself, I just know a lot of guys who do it. Anyway, I'll be out this friday night after work (9:30 or so) and probably sat too. Maybe we couldee up and turn some laps downtown.

I doubt I'll be out this weekend. Too much stuff going on and not just that, but I'll be busy as hell.

I'm currently going to school at Butte College. How about you?

Me? I'm just a little trouble-causing Senior at CHS. There's a lot of 3G's at my school, but most of them are beat up. Far as I can tell I've got the nicest looking. My name is Brian. Do you have a name I can call you? The coupe is the one with the slanted back, no regular trunk, right? What color? Anyway, mine's a gray 88 LX, wth a 2" drop and strut bars in the works (only had it a month, still making decisions and money). What's your major at Butte?

Id be up for it in the near future once I do a few repairs. And Id love to go up there and race once I have a new engine setup.

Well, I'm sticking with the name my parents gave me, which is Vong, meaning chubby in my native language. I am Hmong. I'm sure you've heard of that before.

The coupe is the 2 door version with the regular trunk. The slanted back is the hatchback. Mine is metallic blue and very much stock. I'm majoring in Administration of Justice at Butte. I'm there until Fall 2003.

I'm all for a Chico area get-together! I'm a senior at DHS, if you see me I'll be in a white 4-door DX with a (currently) gray spoiler. I'm busy this weekend but we should all meet some night.

BMS

Yeah. I'd love to have a little pack of acords getting together. To b more precise about the tm from sac, chico is 90 miles. 2 hours of you go the speed limit, but most can do it in less than that (1-1.5 hrs) DHS would be durham, right? Trojans. How do your pioneers sound?

If you do indeed put in a B-18 wth a supercharger you should come show up some of the cocky mutang guys. Lots of 5.0 mutangs (look like fancy escorts) around. Most are just loud, not actually fast. You say "come up". Where are you to begin with?

DHS is Durham High School. Just a redneck hic town. My Pioneer sterio is great, but I've blown my front Pioneer 2-way 6 1/2" speakers and I'm still experimenting with the subs. The subs are ok, but really old and heavy. Sorry for being a bit off topic.

I'm looking for 2x12" JL or infinity subs. We should go to Big Al's for dinner and cruise soon.

Won't work for me since I'll be away for Thanksgiving. I'm thinking I might just come by CHS during lunch or something, and yes, I'll try and look for your Accord. I'll IM you if I should come by.

So how many people could make it for a meet on 10/29? We culd make it the first friday of Dec. if everybody will be out of town. As far as other people being around, I think everything's dead for the winter, as we found out last night, but we could do something.

Im from Santa Cruz. And yeah I do SERIOUSLY plan on swaping in a b18 and supercharging it, but that wont be until this next summer when I have the time/money to do it. And yeah Id love to show up some mustangs! Hell thats pretty much why I want to mod my car so heavily. A lot of my friends and other people I know hate on my car and imports in general, when I got this car everyone said I couldnt do anything with it and that I should save my money and buy domestic. Screw that! Im keepin my 3g :flip: Then I can laugh at them when their Mustangs are betten by an 1988 Honda Accord! :lol

BMS

That's gonna be so awesome when you get it done. I used to live santa cruz before I moved up here. Scotts Valley, actually. There is a bunch of guys with 'stangs and camaros and novas and all those common domestics and they want to call their club "Import Eaters". You'll have to show them who eats who.

Project-LXi
11-25-2002, 10:32 PM
Yeah to be exact, I live in Bonny Doon, but I figured nobody would know where that is, I mean not everyone in Santa Cruz knows where it is :lol . Its up the road from Felton if you cross Hwy 9. Or from Santa Cruz it is just up High Street past UCSC (I live right off Felton Empire which is what High street turns into). So yeah, Scotts Valley is just right down the road, once I fix up my car I'll have to look into it :D

Well, I dont know about Infinity subs, but my friend has 2 JLs in his 02 Camaro SS. When he bumps it, it feels like your eyes might pop out of your skull, and he is running less than 300wts!! They are incredible! No distortion, just a nice clean crisp and oh yeah did I mention LOUD!!! sound. :werd: I say go with the JLs. Just my 2 cents.

BMS

I remember Felton, but I can't say I've ever been to Bonny Doon. The thing that stands out most in my mind about that area was how close Roaring Camps and Henry Cowel park were. We used to go there all the time. My friend is getting 2 10" JL's this weekend, so I can listen to those, and I read you got fogs. Are they the kind that jst attach t the bumper, or do they actually fit into the pre-cut holes?

Project-LXi
11-26-2002, 05:05 PM
Yeah if you know where Henry Cowel is, then just further up the road is Bonny Doon, Henry Cowell is between Felton and Bonny Doon. Speaking of Henry Cowel, I just got a $90 parking ticket at Henry Cowel last week  Me and a few buddies of mine thought it would be cool if we went there late at night, so we parked off in the darkest most hidden place we could find... it didnt help. Damn Felton cops with nothing better to do I guess.

About the fogs, they are round and attach to the bumper. I think they look better that way. The only thing is that the glass on them is blue and my emblems are red, so since Im replacing my hood and trunk anyway, I think I might buy blue emblems to match.

The fogs are called "Diamond Blue" and they are made by Blazer. I would definatly recommed them. They are super bright and give off a really bright white light with a nice tint of blue. They are bright enough to where I can drive at night w/o any headlights without a much of a problem (not saying I do this, but I certainly could). They cost me about $80, and IMO it was well worth it.

BMS
11-26-2002, 06:30 PM
I think that fogs are the best way to improve apperance if you don't have the $ for lowering, which I don't.

I guess for now the Chico meet will hve to be postponed, not enough people will e around. Unless smeone has a real itch to meet someone, w can wait a while.
