Another cliking when turning question...

Front end right hand side clicks when turning left. Everything points to the CV axle. I inspected both boots and they are intact. Has anybody experienced this? Boots are Ok but the axle still was the problem?

I suspect the grease can breakdown overtime and lose its lubricating properties. Just wondering if someone out there experienced the same situation. Particularly since the boots aren't torn.

It's definitely possible, though I've never seen it happen. The joints are a wear item and if the boots got swapped enough times by previous owners you could have reached the serviceable life of the joints themselves.
