My thinkin is that i get the same ecu from the same engine all through the bay to the cabin of the car that engine came from (the whole ecu unit) I'm going to have a shop do this but i want to know whats involved so i know what i'm talkin to them about. oh i'm planing on getting a b18c1

Are you buying the b18c1 complete? Most places sell them with tranny, axles, and the ECU with it.

if the b18c came with the transmission would u be able to use that or would u still need the y1 /s1 tranny. is the whole purpose of using y1/s1 tranny to avoid hydraulic ?

i've heard and sure the tranny from the 1st gen vetc is a shorter and quicker throw in shifting and it will bolt right on to the b18c, but i need some help with the ecu part?.....anyone
