Damn it's been a while since I've posted. I've been lurking but not saying anything.

I've been through a few cars. About a year and a half ago someone rear ended me and totaled my Camry. Then I got a MKIV Jetta 1.8T. I never fell in love with that car but it was cheap and half-reliable. I lowered it and threw a few parts on it but that finally was at it's end. After a ton of searching for a new car, Mazda3s, Versas, Fits and a fwe others I came across this, a brand new 2013 Honda Civic Si 4 door. It was love at first sight. Room for me and the Mrs., kiddies, nice trunk space better fuel economy than my Jetta (31mpg vs 20) and well you all know the rest....

Are you comparing the Honda's highway mpg to the Jetta's city mpg?

Congrats on the new car. I'm wondering how Volkswagen got a 1.8 to get such miserable gas mileage? That should win an engineering award.

Absolutely miserable on the Jetta. I had a 1.8T with a Triptronic auto and I was getting a horrid 20ish mpg. And I'm a slow ass driver, never over 65mph. I had put new Autolite plugs, K&N drop in, new O2s, cleaned the MAF every oil change, only synthetic Mobile 1, I mean I babied the shit outta that car. I'd never buy another VW again. I bought it from some girl that said the trans was "shifting funny". It had a tranny pan leak and was 2 quarts low on fluid. I topped it off and drove it for a year and a half. I got $2000 for it when I traded it in.

I love this new car though. No leaks, no sqeaks, no groans. Also, I'm up around 31 mpg like I stated earlier so I', already saving about $10+ per week in fuel costs.

Habanero? Probably the best Civic you can get.

There was also a fire red available, but red is so generic. I wasn't a huge fan, but my wife loved and it's really grown on me. It's called Sunburst Orange Pearl.

I like it, better than having black like every one I see on the road!
