Ok back in November i was driving my 1989 Accord LX up the road by my house and right as i got passed my street the car started shuddering really bad and almost died on me. When it started to shudder as hard as it did i thought i busted a CV joint or blew the motor. I was able to limp it home but ever since that happened it has been stuck in Drive no matter what gear i put it in and when ever i go to move it, sometimes it will shudder really bad or it just won't move at all. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Have you checked your transmission fluid level?

I'm guessing there is some very expensive valve body damage deep inside the transmission.

TV cable is still connected and Fluid is at a normal level

Does the lever down on the trans (under battery towards bell hsg) move when the throttle moves? It has to move as the gas pedal moves, kind of a primative non electronic throttle position sensor for the trans, a section of the valve body needs it to be adjusted correctly and functioning to determine internal pressure routing to provide correct gear.

I tried to adjust the TV cable and nothing changed. every time i add fluid it's like a bottomless pit because the level stays the same. Could it be a Torque Converter seal? It also feels really tight when i shift and when i put it in Park the light doesn't come on right away. i have to jiggle the shifter and press the brakes for it to come on
