my antenna goes part way down...I always figured somebody had bent it at some time. Never really tried to get it all the way hidden.

Hard to discuss this w/o mind falling in gutter......:D

Maybe the year does make the difference, seems like the people who say it goes all the way down have 88-89 and the peoples who don't go down all the way are 86-87.

mine's an 86 but my girlfriend's is an 88? her's is a DX, could that have something to do with it?

both mine are DX's 1 88 and 1 89, both "fully retract" yeah!.. See if there's a little kink in it or something. Or just try and force it, but just don't end up putting it thru ur hand. I know my 89 hatch was stuck half way, and with a little force, it worked. take a rag, put a drop of oil on it and wipe the antenna down with the oil. That should make it work smoothly..

**edit** not trying to make any implications there.. ...just a good clean suggestion.

I have a 87 DX, i push it down with my hand.
I never listen to the radio, so my antenna is always down.

who needs am/fm when you got MP3.

Nice ride, clean 2

All the antennas should go all the way down. The factory antennas sucked. If they got the least little bend in them they would not work right and fully retract. They are NOT fun to replace either.

ya.. I knew that - I mean you can modify it so that it will... but I am goin to shave the antenia, and the rear squirter... make it all flush - and then run dual antenia - one in the headliner, and one in the dash... got it from a buddy.. and his worked nice... no more crappy honda antenia for me.. lol

My LX has a power antenna but it only goes half way down. So it should go all the way down? is that what i'm hearing?

HostileJava
