How about that little gem I stumbled across. A manufacturer that actually makes HO alternators for our cars! Only it does say LXi and SEi, but I don't know what the difference would be.

what would be the advantage of this'? wouldnt it do the oposite of an underdrive pully? i am "guessing" that this would be good for people with big systems, or maybe lots of extra electrical stuff going on. i am on the right page or am i way off?

This is great for people with audio systems that draw alot of amps.

Ok, here's what I got:

James, The 41290 alternator retails for $546.34. You can purchase this alternator from Powermaster 800-862-7223 or Summit Racing, 800-230-3030.

Damn... I suppose that isn't TOO outrageous, but that is hella expensive... considering for newer model cars you can get a HO alternator for like $200.
