View Full Version : EFI head vs. CARB head
What is the difference between the EFI head and the CARB head besides the cam's? Does the EFI head have larger valves or are they all the same? I noticed that the CARB has a different valve cover gasket compared to the EFI.

They are exactly the same, besides the cam that you mentioned. The carb has a diferent valve cover which is why the gasket is diferent.

What accounts for the difference in compression ratio? If the head, block, and crank are all the same does that mean efi engines have different pistons?

The upper distributor bracket/cam retainer is also different. you can replace it with the carbed one tough.
