I made my full size wooden template today from my hatch rear bumper, I'll be heading to the yard Saturday morning, I made this instead of having to carry a bumper around. All I have to do, is hold it up under any lip that looks close. Any suggestions as to anything that might be close?, to narrow it down. IF I find anything or see anything thats close, I'll be taking pics and making notes as to make model and year. https://scontent-b-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/t1/1911830_10152426172207018_878203210_n.jpg

after looking at hundreds of cars at the yard, the closest thing appears to be the three piece lip from a possibly 94-95 Accord LX, I'm not sure on the year, as the manufacturers ID plate is missing, and the VIN plate is missing, they wrote the vin on the window though.

It seems to fit pretty decent, this is the three piece lip, it will require some trimming with a pair of tin snips, and you need to make some pie cuts, in the part where it contacts the bumper. I have to cut off the end where the exhaust is, and trim the other end.

If that's the right VIN, then it was a '95.

I think they pulled the vin from one of the hidden vin numbers or something, I spent hours in dirt and ants trying to find something even close, I think something bit me on the hand trying to remove a lip from a civic bumper, two puncture marks, I even checked in the truck yard, thinking a truck lip would be more square, but this is the closest thing I can find. it's slightly rounded on the edges, but the VW gls lip I have on the front bumper is the same way.

the holes are all drilled in the lip, now it all has to come back off,so the ends can be trimmed, and the body work done on the bumper. https://scontent-b-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1/1897784_10152433024302018_166462753_n.jpg

That's slick! If it matches the front, I wouldn't sweat it! It looks great so far. Keep going.
