colored dome light

hey i like using a colored light in my car but the ones i got are crap, i went to autozone and got colored light bulbs and the blue stuff like melted off so i also got those little sleeves for it and they melted off too so i was wondering what i could do (also i use a bigger bulb than the stock ones i madebent the medal so i could it.) but yeh wwhat could i do tyo make it a different color

Paint the inside cover. I painted my dome light cover, and door light covers. Then you don't need to replace the bulb!

just buy some colored dome light covers at auto zone... or jack them there only like $1.50

I painted mine with the candy apple red u use for the tails.

the colored sleeves melted? there not soposed to. i have a blue sleeve over my dome light, its looks green when the light hits it tho, lol

Yah i had the blue bulb too, and the paint melted off of it twice! Now it looks kinda green. I dont care though, maybe ill get some of those plastic sleeves.
