What does NOTEC mean?

Hi, I have a question that will show my ignorance...

What is NOTEC? I can't seem to find anything that actually defines what it means.
Does OBD0 = NOTEC?

It's kind of a play on words. It's a corruption of VTEC, which was the first variable valve timing system used by Honda. NOTEC refers to basically any Honda engine that doesn't have VTEC because it's too old.

Okay, thanks Cygnus. That is what I thought, but nobody seems to outright say what it is. I guess I'm not in the 'club' lol, even though I now know I too am NOTEC. :lol:
