I have an 89 LXi with 284k miles and my clutch went out yesterday . I've got the kit which has the pressure plate, clutch and alignment tool. I was planning on replacing the release bearing as well because I've read that's good. I want to see my flywheel before I get a new one or get it machined, so I'm holding out of that. What else should I replace while I've got my transmission dropped?

Get a new rear main seal, and the input shafts. Being your pull the trans for the clutch.

Shift link bushings if you can find them.

When I did mine, those weren't available. I had to scavenge through fifteen different junkyard cars before finding a half decent pair.
