I have the chance to pick up a b20a (from JDM accord) for $300. I was wondering is this a good price? Assuming that I will need transmission, what is a realistic price for the entire swap?

I would expect a 5spd to run more thank the average $350 because it is very rare to find one especially not mated with a motor. It also depends on the condition of the motor and what you plan to replace before the install.

I have just finished my B20a swap and the total cost for the swap is £800+ ($1200+) I haven't added it all up yet.
The B20a was in poor/average condition and required quite a lot of parts.
The above price is without labour and is just a parts cost.

Work out how much you think it is going to cost you and double the figure and that should be somewhere near to the cost.

same with the time... double, or maybe triple how long you think it will take!
