Today I completely removed my interior, so that i can take out the carpet. The carpet had gotten wet and started to smell as of now the carpet is in the yard hanging out. My question is while the carpet is out does anyone have any good carpet cleaning tips so that when i put back in the carpet the musty smell is no longer there.

take a bunch of apple smelling dish soap in a bucket and get a nice big brush. poutr the soap all over the carpet and a lille bit of water. brush like mad then hang it back up, then spray in off with a hose or a presure washer. it should look cleaner and smell better. make sure it gets dried out fast, or the watter will stay and get musty. use a shop vac to suck up all the excess water and then place it in the sun to dry...

I did this to many accords, just take like laundry detergent and water and scrub the junk out of the carpet, then vacuum up the excess water and stuff, and any stains that wont come out, try using brake cleaner on them (works great, kinda stinky tho) trust me my interior is camel (tan) and it gets dirty like a mofo, I live in NY too!

my car is off the road for the winter---could i take out the carpeting and bring it to a laundrymat and use one of those industrial size washers to wash it?

this is from my carpet installation,
http://87accord.com/carpet.html
that was in June, the price may have gone up. The carpet
was a very good fit.

Hatches and coupes share so many traits... do you think the hatchback carpet set would fit a coupe?

I think I'll need someone experienced for this question.

Try auto carpet originals, 1-866-956-2886 they are in tampa FL They can beat 200 easy. I saw them at the car show here, good products, saw some samples. I think the coupe carpet is the same as the HB or very close.
