fluct idle at warming up
My aerodeck ex 2.0i starts well, but when it's warming up (temp gauge goes up) idle speed fluctuates between 1500 and 1800 rpm. when the engine is all warmed up everything is ok.
onder the hood i can hear a valve opening en shutting when the revs go up and down (it clicks). i suspect it's the idle control solenoid valve and that it needs replacing (after having read the shop manual).
coolant level is good, fan works, no other problems.
does anyone have any other suggestions? thankx!

I had a similar problem. (if you talk to others on this board, they have had this happen too)
You're on the right track when you say idle solenoid.. but really, there is a a warm air idle control valve right on your throttle body.

I cleaned mine out by taking it off the throttle body (screws on back), diconecting the coolant lines on the bottom (plug those up so they don't leak), and taking the top cover off, pouring some throttlebody cleaner (carb cleaner) down in there, and working it with a screwdriver.
For more info, here are some threads that I've discussed this in:

Would someone mind putting this in the FAQ or HOWTO section?

Thanks, Dosh8er!
Now i know where to look for I will check the warm idle valve and try to clean it.
