damn, thats a clean ride if I've ever seen one..............
NO CAI? or at least a short ram? no header? why not? it must be slow...
Travis
i love those wheels! :)
it must be slow cause it dosnt have a CAI or a header???? what the hell are you smokin.......obvioulsy youve never rode in a 99-00 SI, cause those things are quicker then you think, and a b16 in a hatch would be even quicker.....
No cai or header = :gay:
they arent fast at all... i guess u havent drove or riden ina 300 hp civic... they are fast... the 110 lb/ft in that motor is nothin special...
Travis
DX is right.
of course im right!
Travis
i never said they were fast....i said they were quick........and yea ive actually ridin in a supercharged si.....kid was runnin 9 pounds of boost and he took me out when it was kinda slick out, he couldnt get traction all the way into 4th gear.....it was pretty nasty, but back to the hatch, who cares if he dosnt have a cai or header, maybe hes gettin one in a lil bit, dont forget that a motor swap isnt cheap, and it does look like the car was repainted too, along with rims, thats pretty steep, id take a stock b16 any day tho........
very nice very clean.
will take it anyday
but another thing, on further review of the intake....hes runnin a comptech sport air box, so more then likely he paid some flo for that.......id def by a real CAI if that was the case.....but who knows......
Ya know,.................why do I see post's where I sure look's to me like were trying to pick a fight? Can we at least go a few day's before I hear the BELL ring?
and now in this corner:rolleyes: :werd:
A 99-00 Civic SI with it's 170hp B17A and 2500-2600lbs vs a 160hp B16a and 2300lbs should be able to equal the SI's times
0-60 in 7.2 sec Some of us dream that our 3rd gen accord could do that. Most ALL of us definately don't do that right now.
not much of a hatchback civic fan.. but it looks good
VERY clean ride. swapping a new motor into those things must be easy because people do it all the time
It's a direct drop in.
I'll race that Civic. A friend of mine has a hatch with a B18c and I barely lose to it.
lookin good
dude, dxhatch, you need to lick my balls too, CAI or header, WHOA maybe 10 horsepower more?? lets check your name again, DXHATCH, hrm is it slow? wait..slow as shit? ive rode in a b16a1 equipped 90 LS DA hatch, with the shortest ram intake possible and half ass exhaust, and it rocked my damn socks, he said maybe high 14's...high 14's with a DX hatch....sweet dreams..
lol i agree the header and cai wount add much ...
Why would it be faster?!?!?!?Quote:

The Hatchback civic is heavier than the Coupe!
i was just sayin that with out a cai or header, there is less likliness of internal mods like type r cams or 11:1 pistons... thats all i was sayin... sorry if i offended you Electron...

1999 Civic SI coupe= 2612lbs
1999 Civic DX Hatch=2388lbs
Compaired to the SI all hatch's are lighter.
Compaired to a DX coupe at 2359lbs then they weigh about the same.
The SI has a higher specific content so it weigh's more, but at 100lbs over a EX coupe I have to wonder what's causing the weight penelty? Heavier motor?

hmmm the Canadian HAtch are heavier.... let me find the page
white rims would look better.
