DSPhat - '89 Accord EX-2.0i

Hi there!

I'm DSPhat, and a few months ago I bought myself my first car - a Honda Accord EX-2.0i (5MT of course), a rarity in New Zealand (seriously - the closest I've seen to a 3rd-gen Accord is a 2nd-gen Prelude, in a relatively bad condition, and possibly a 2nd-gen Accord which was smoking out its exhaust (haha).

So far all I've really done is an oil change since the engine was running a little rough. I was surprised, however, how powerful the little A20A4 engine pulls despite its relatively meagre 120hp and 160Nm of torque.

I'm looking forward to staying around on this forum and potentially start answering questions that others may ask.

Welcome! Though short on HP, these cars still have a lively and nimble feel that new cars cannot match. Have fun!

i think i have all the B20A motors left in NZ hoarded in my shed now haha.

Good find, your accords a rare NZ new model with a A20A4 motor. the best A20 made with no emissions rubbish (Y)
