Its not gonna fill the gap. It will take up a bit of it but not all of it. I had 16's on my first coupe and it filled a lot of it but that was with original springs and struts with 180k or so. I would show you a picture but both my coupes are lowered. If you search through the pic forum a few pages back you can see my red coupe with racing hart 17s but with 1.5 drop (maybe more with the koni pertches upside down).

Check this link out for what 17's will look like on stock struts-springs. I think it sits too high and needs to be lowered-
Definitely lower it! 3geez look so tight lowered
this is the car with 17's and not lowered.
Ask yourself that questoin now

I think 17's are perfect for a 3rd Gen Accord. I think a 1" drop is good for 17" rims. 17's fill it in well even when the car is stock.
imo i tihnk the car needs to be dropped around 2 inches with 17's mabey 2 1/2
I agree with Jay and Jigga. If you end up getting the right size tire, the outer diameter will remain the same as stock so the tire/fender gap will remain the same. If you want that filled look, you have to lower it at least a little. Even an inch, as Mike mentioned, will make the car look lots better.
im gettin 17's too. will 205/40 tires work good?
that's the exact size you should be getting. It'll work like a charm! Post some pics as soon as you get 'em installed....
well first i gotta pick which ones to get.
then there is the tedious task of getting the money......
if you're going with 17" wheels, try and stick to a 17x7 rather then 17x7.5 if possible. That way you'll have a little better wheel protection with the choice tire.
okay thank ill keep that in mind
