Pulling the trigger on a Weber 32/36 DGEV kit for my Accord - newbie inquiries

Besides getting rid of the firewall black box & sparing the dizzy advance/brake booster lines, are these carbs basically plug & play? There's no fab work required for the throttle linkage & cable/intake? Is hooking the auto trans cable up to the carb a pain? This post can be moved into the Weber help thread if needed.

Kit is here, I'd appreciate some tips/help/advice. From digging around the forum, the job seems fairly straightforward, I just want to make sure nothing gets bodged/screwed up.

Really hoping people help out on this. I also have a 32/36 waiting to be installed but I'm not overly confident with Carbs.

The tuning horror stories I see on this thread make me very uncomfortable playing with the stock carb (which I have all the vac lines stripped off of

For me the Holley 2300 is the best bet in carbs...or convert to Holey Sniper EFI or the factory EFI.

Car is just sitting in my garage at the moment, because the guy I planned on having help with the job is stacked with work and sounded like he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown one of the last times I talked to him. I have too much stuff on my plate at the moment as well. I need to drive around and peck on the door of a house that has appears to have an auto enthusiast of some kind living there and strike up a conversation with them. There's a guy 5-6 streets from me who is heavy into oldschool Toyotas & Hondas, he is probably my best bet.

I mean there's not a lot you can do with the stock carb, especially if you already have it deleted. If it works then it just works.

Id like to see the 2300 honestly. I swear I'll eventually get around to putting bike carbs on mine. I have mikuni vm carbs, but I've learned a lot about these over the past few years and I'm just not super happy with mikuni or round slide carbs, but being a 4 stroke I doubt it will be too finicky about what type of carb I put on it, like going to a d slide keihin pwk would be almost a side step even though it's a far better carb, keihin fcr, lectron, or smart carb would be pretty cracked though.

Idk what you're waiting for, just slap that puppy on.

I never have come across a carbed Accord that I wanted in all these years. Kinda wierd. I been looking I want a Phoenix Red one always have.

Funny, I'd rather not touch a fuel injected one with a 10 ft pole lol
