HELP!!!
Should be the ECT sensor giving faulty signals to the ecu making it difficult to start when warmed up.
is it the ect or main relay???
what was the ohms value when you tested the ECT sensor when the engine was hot?.........it should be around 300 ohms......if higher,(2-3000 ohms), then thats your problem
when engine is cold it is about 2-3000 ohms and when it was warm it was 286 ohm
try checking the operation of the auxiliary air valve on the throttle body and engine idle speed
I assume the car is using a lot of petrol?
Main relay makes it difficult to start if you've parked your car in the heat for long. The prongs in the relay doesn't connect properly when subjected to heat (flexing).Quote:

Your problem of not starting when the car has warmed up has been documented on some site for Honda mechanics, but was taken down. I've a printout of that article but lost it. It should be the ect sensor.
i put a 300 ohm resistor in the plug nd tested it. it didnt like starting when it was cold but when it was warmed up it went perfect so im getting a new ect sensor soon
so when the engine temp was up to normal,...the resistance of the ECT was around 2-3000 ohms?
which one is the ect? There are 2 plugs if i remember correctly. one brown and one green. I think one is the aux fan switch
The one closer to the valve cover.Quote:

yup....It's ECT. Had the same problem about 6 months ago. Fixed it in a jiffy.
