Carb adjusted?
Can someone send me a current link on a "how to" adjust the carb?
We just installed a new carb on my sister's car (it was jerking at different rpms)...and we were having problems adjusting the rpms
At idle, she's around 3 grand...in drive, she's around 1,500
I'll probably be doing this, so pics would definitely help!
We adjusted the screw in the back of the carb, but that's all we did...
Please help!
Thanks, in advance!

Did you adjust the Black throttle stop screw (blue line)? or the fast idle screw (not show in pic but is on rear passenger side below throttle stop screw)
The small screw at the rear base of the carb is the idle mix screw (yellow line).

if you are going to be stock, don't touch the mixture screw. it should be set right from the factory.

That will help you adjust the carb while you have the air cleaner removed. Put the round metal screen back onto the carb if you are worried about screws and stuff falling in. Basicly you remove the black air box and plug the few vacuum lines, that came off of the box.
It will also allow you to see the float level while the car is running.

This is what I originally thought the problem with the first carb was... But anyways if by chance your venturies are loose this is how to check them and tighten them back up.
