Gettin New Yokohamas
well i had bought these 14in prelude rims and they are nice and all except for the tires. they are starting to crack and are kinda dryrotted, which isnt good. anyway, me and my mom went to look for some tires and sears is having a sale through tomorrow on some of their tires. well lucky me, i found some nice yokohamas that they have for 14in. they are going to be 195 60 14s. they came to a total of $341.67 for all 4 with road hazard, new valve stems, balance and some other stuff. they are A550H model. they looked good for the price, considering their tread wear and good grip. heres what they should be like.

they looked better in person than in that pic. im still waiting for my mom to drop off the money so i can go get them. i cant wait to see how they work. i wonder if they will be better than my BF Goodrich radial T/As? i had those on the 13in 7spoke rims that got bent up. i still wanna either fix those or get a new one and have the rest powder coated a different color. those T/As were good on grip, even though they were 175 70 13s. those were the best gripping tires ive had on the 3gee. maybe these will have better grip than the T/As.

well, i got my new yokohamas. they are pretty nice. the side wall is a bit smaller than the old tires, which will be good with less side wall flex around corners. they were done with it in less than 45 minutes! i got to look through sears which was good. i found some good stuff, all tools. these tires dont get much wheel spin compared to the old LX-i rim's tires or the old dried out tires that were on these rims. they got them balanced good and now there is NO shimmy or shake on the freeway. these tires are rated for high speed so thats realy good. the tread looks nice and sporty. guess i'll have to take some pix of the new tires.:edit:.....i just noticed the tires pictured on that sears site arent the same as mine. mine are performance. maybe the pic isnt the actual tire?
