Headers HP Gain...

I was looking into buying some DC Headers, I found a car that was crashed with a set that are still in great shape, maybe not even a year of use. Just wondering what power gains can be made over the stock exhust. I also already have a CAI.

alone they will just sound louder.. maybe 1 hp.. coupled with a hi flo cat and free flo exhaust it will add alot more..

Well my exhust is already rusted out, so if I replaced everything what kinda gains will I get?

lots... you will esp. feel it over 3000.. it just takes off like mad after that...

I don't like quoting HP numbers without a dyno to back them up. Instead I say this. Adding DC Sports headers to my car was worth every single penny I paid for them. I got a very noticeable increase in power. Not only that I got BETTER power. Instead of the power band dying out at 5700rpms, I now had power right up to redline. Of course then I then shifted, I was right smack into my peak powerband and the whole process repeated. Without question, if you want more power, they are worth it.
Don't ponder, buy buy buy. :wave: And I went into it, being rather suspicious, but not afterwords:D

i think i noticed the biggest improvement with exhaust than any other mod...and i have weber/headers/exhaust/prelude tranny

How does the 'lude tranny compare to the 'teg for ratios?

i dunno.. the TEG wasnt worth the time... but the lude is almost the same as your tranny... it wouldnt be worht it for you

Yeah that is what I thought. I kinda wanna try putting 1-4 outta a teg into mine. Heard it isn't too difficult.
