SEI/LXI Rear suspencion Question

Two monts ago my car was hit in the drivers side rear fender wheel by a truck that hit me and ran away, the crash was kind of hard, since the tire get the worst impact and blow out, the fender wheel was all bent, luck no glass broked, my car was parked almost a foot away the sidewalk, in the impact the car was just stoped on the sidewalk, so, one wheel is bent inward on top and the other side wheel is bend outward on top since this hit on the sidewalk and broke a piece of it (piece of concret).

My car looks like this by rear view : /---/ (no too much like this image but you could get the idea)

I've working mornings on a mechanical shop and they do body work too so i take the car and is done now, by my own pocket of course. All the body is ok, painted and stuff, but i have that alignament problem and after the hit i heard a rear wheel bearing noise plus the worst handle and shaking above 60 ml/h .

So i been thinking on get the set of rear arms (A and B arms) and buy and changing both wheel bearings all new, maybe the knuckle or trailing arm are bent too (plus if i may need something else to buy) , but in the other hand maybe if put a couple bucks more, i can get the SEI cross member from a JunkYard for almost the same price than getting that new parts, well i think so .

My question is if i can swap my fu**ed up rear cross member and install an SEI whit rear disk brakes Whit no major mods ?????

Well if you have an Lx-i it woun't be too hard at all. If you have an Lx or Dx there is more stuff that needs to be swapped. Look at the how to for more help on what is needed.

I made a search, but don't want to swap just the Rear Disk setup, i want to swap the whole cross member whit arms, brakes, and other related stuff I think it would be cheaper and much better that get my bented pieces and bearings.

Whoops stupid me it says Lx-i in your name. If you wanted to swap to rear disc you just need to find some. All you would need to do for it is put in the different e-brake lines and the full rear brake assembly. The cross arms and and everything else will swap no problem.

Ok i have the things cleared, i was thinking the SEi rear suspencion was a little diferent.
So i'll just keep some money to travel U.S. sout border and try to get my new setup.

Another question: My car is a Coupe, can i use both sedan or coupe SEi parts ?

i'm 99% sure that all the suspension parts are pretty much universal esp between the LXi and SEi

yeah, if you've got an 89 accord you've got the same rear set up as the se-i other then the breaks. i don't think they changed it for the body styles either (like a coupe set up is the same as a sedan).

Yea the only difference is the the Se-i has different e-brake lines.
