:sadwave: hello. my tire left rear tire popped the other night whilst i was driving along I-5. so i had it replaced with a new one... same aspect and all. however, as i was scooting away from the tire shop, i noticed that my car was steering towards the right. I know that this (most prolly) is an alignment issue.
Now for my biggest question... :huh:
could this be caused by the tire pop situation? or are we dealing with sumthin that has nothing to do with my late night disaster??
did the tire just go flat or did it blow out? Also an obvious check but have you checked tire pressure and all that. Unless it seriouslt hit the pavement I would doubt its anything more than an alignment question. Just my 2 cents Mike
it could be, but it can be that it is tire preassure. most tire dealers put too much tire preassure in the tires anyway. they think that the stamp on the tire is the actual preasure for that car. IDOTS.
check your tire preassure.
The pulling may also be caused by unequal tire wear. Considering that one of your tires is new and the rest have some miles on them, that could be the problem. I know for a fact that this made a difference on my mom's Expedition, had to have a tire repaired after a puncture so I put on the spare (full size :D, brand new, 0 mileage). While driving, there was a noticeable difference in how the car handled.
P.S.: If the pull is severe, it may be the suspension alignment.

well i was thinkin about that too, `89accordlx. so i rotated the tires and now that the new (left) and the not so new (right) tires are on the front, the pull isnt that severe anymore. but it would still veer towards the right. hopefully, they would sort of "even out" sometime soon.
Do a visual check if your wheels seem to be off angle or something. A part of it is due to the new tire but you said that is still pulls to the right even after you moved that tire to the left. You might have bad alignment.
