cruise control died!

my cruise control died the other day, what is wrong? do u think i have a lose conection? how do i fix it?

Someone had my car for a couple of months and got it back and it didn't work. Light doesn't even come on anymore.

Anyone have any ideas. ..

if ur lucky, it's just the switch. Try replacing that first. They can be had at the j/y for only a few bucks.

check the connections to the crius box itself. i remember when i had my 92 ex. i had to replace the bubl and had to take the cruise off to do that. anyways i forgot to connect it again and it didnt work. dumb me.

try this, if your horn doesnt work either, fix ur horn. somehow the cruise control works off of them, and if they dont work, neither does the cruise.

propably a stupid suggestion ! but did you check the fuse !?

Meh, my cruise control hasn't worked in 6 years.

Mine works but sometime it just stops working (when driving on the hwy at like 65mph in 5th) It's like it cuts out when it feels like it.

Mine quit working after a few years... It turned out to be the cruise control interlock switch on the brake pedal. I guess the brake pedal return spring wasn't pulling the pedal all the way back to it's original position, and the switch to the cruise control was sensing that as the brakes still being applied.

Check to make sure the travel is correct, and that the switch isn't always engaged (or disengaged as the case may be), or else the cruise control system will think the brake pedal has been pushed. The switch can be adjusted for engagement depth.

Maybe that's what's wrong with my brake pedal. Hmmm I'll have to check that out later.

ok, if you set it and the light comes on but the car still loses speed, try replacing your horns if neither work... Just try it. If the light wont come on at all then its somthing else.
