tire Q
are Kuhmo 732 Touring Plus' good tires? i know Kuhmo has a good reputation but i was just wondering if these would be a good winter tire to use. i still have the stock 195/60 R14 Lx-i rims.

OR
Sumitomo SRIXON4's. they're reasonably priced and they're a performance all-season.

if you going to use the tires just for the winter i would spend a little more money for winter tires.
go to this webiste for tire ratings. they test the tires they sell.

thanks shepherd, but i already beat you to it. that's where i was looking at the Sumitomos and the Kuhmo 732's.
i also looked futher and found the Yokohama Avid T4's, and Kuhmo Ecsta something-somethings.
personally i like the Kuhmo 732's, and the Yoko's. i'm not sure which one i want to buy though. trying to make a smart investment. any help is greatly appreciated.
the only other tire I would buy would be Falken Azeni's, but only as a summer tire if i even did...i hear they have hydroplane problems...

esp if you have extra wheels get a set with just snow tires on them.

if you want nice all around tire, Bridgestone Potenza. I have Bridgestone Potenza 920. they are great. this is my first year i use them in the winter and they hold very good. Hydroplanning is very minimal, but compare to Kumho tires bridgestone tires don't have hydroplanning.
I had Kumho tires and i had to change them every 30000. they wear out too fast.
so do yourself a favor and invest mosre money in nice tires.
