Yea, especially since they increased the displacement from a 1.3 to a 2.0 litre. And added another intake valve and PGMFI. I'll stack this in the pile of why carbs are not inferior.Quote:

its still a neat engine, but wonder if its very efficient???
I's a bike engine they beefed up and shoved into a car. I believe they even had a chain drive between the engine and tranny in the early ones.

Carbs are definitely not inferior... I've puzzled many people with mine and it is the original. All it takes is some tuning and you can pull out A LOT of power with a stock carb. All with the twist of a screwdriver. :)
