My Old School 10 Spokes Are Back!!!

well, this morning i didnt have much to do since its sunday. i decided to maybe clean up my old wheels and put them in the storage shed. well i thought i would give straitening the bent rim out. it worked on it with a malot, and it now looks pretty good! take a look at the before and after pix!

I like those rims a lot. What kind are they?
A macince shop can get them pretty close to perfect again for you.

i may think about taking them to a machine shop, thats not a bad idea at all. considering they are some what hard to find, im so glad i didnt sell them or get rid of them. i put all 4 on, but that one that was bent still needs some work. it holds air, but will leak just a bit. anyway, i may try and get the rim part bent more out than i got it, thats why its got a small leak. i tell you what, those radial T/A's dont hook up or hold as well as my Yokohama's on my prelude 14s. the Yoko's are very hard to get to spin, but the T/As spin a bit more easily and make a nice squeal. me and my friends were going to go film some burn outs, but the T/As still had some what of a good hold and they didnt light up on the grippy pavement. i told my friend it wouldnt work, on differnt pavement its a differnt story. even the other car didnt light up the tires on that road. i'll update y'all on the rims if i do anything else to them.

hmm, that isn't the safest thing to do.... I would have to recomend atleast taking it to a machine shop, if you can't find one to buy. If you were to have that ballanced, it would prolly be atleast $5.00 worth of wheel weights right there :D lol. Good job on the 'quick fix' though, very nice, use a hammer or did you heat it and bend it (we do that sometimes at work for ATV wheels)

well, those rims arent perfect, but they are looking good and dont seem to be out of whack. the one i ghetto fixed still needs a bit of work but nobody can tell. it has a slow leak but doesnt leak very fast. this morning on the wet road i got the tires to spin from the start up to 2nd and spun a bit in 2nd. these radial T/A's dont hold anywhere as good as my yokohama's.
