choke opener problem (again)

I repaired my choke opener by using and old inner tube and glue, I checked the vacuum before Installing it and all was Fine. Then I checked the Internal vacuum coming from the carb this was good....put it all together and eh presto!!!!....... nothing happened :gun: :gun: .
So I checked the cranking leak solenoid hose # 26 connects this to the choke opener found this was holding the vacuum instead of leaking it. What I would like to know is would this prevent the choke opener from working, I tried disconnecting the hose #26 so it would leak into the air but this didn't work either.
Or does any body have any other ideas apart from trashing the damn car.
The car is rough at idle until it warms up then its fine.

That's NORMAL like 5sec after engine startup. #26 should hold vacuum! Why u saying "Choke Opener problem", can u describe what is doing during engine warmup? Hook vacuum gauge on #18 too.

I was saying choke opener problem because when i start the engine the choke opener still doesn't move when i start the engine, even after repairing it
When I tested the solenoid valve according to the factory honda manual (with the engine off ) it shouldn't hold any vacuum, but it did.

continued................ when i first start the engine from cold the engine is really rough idling until I drive a couple of blocks and then its great, I've changed the thermovalve ,cleaned the carb out and repaired the choke opener so please can you give me any more ideas what is wrong.....thanks.

Also u did not mentioned it, i assume ur choke flap stays completely closed like 10sec after startup.
If that's true, is not normal, must be a vacuum leak at Choke Opener somewhere..
What happen if u unplug #18 and plug that orifice at Opener ? Ugh.. if u do this test make sure engine is not completely cold, but cold enough for the choke flap to close completely.

P.S. Cranking Leak Solenoid Valve (CLSV) is controlled by ECU. Is ON during engine cranking only. I might be also ON another 5sec after engine startup when the air temp sensor in the air intake snorkel senses cold air < 14*C (52*F). When CLSV is ON it air bleed #26 and Choke Opener, preventing the choke flap from opening prematurely. Many 3geez complained about morning engine start - 2..5sec - stall repeatedly.

Checked the CLSV whilst cranking the engine and it was working.
But I am still not getting any vacuum to the choke opener through the internal passage on the carb anybody got any ideas why????

One reason ur Choke Opener may not work is b/c the check valve inside opener might be faulty! To check that, i suggested the test mention on my previous post:
..What happen if u unplug #18 and plug that orifice at Opener ?
If the Choke Opener start working, then suspect that check valve inside opener..
P.S. By doing this test u loose Fast Idle Unloader functions. Or u may hook (the removed) #18 line to some other intake manifold vacuum source.
