lets se, my girls got an 89 lx, its an automatic. she took it to the shop today and the said that it would be 1500 for a rebuild. So, should it cost that much?
and also, where can i get one? auto or manual it doesnt matter. But the car itself isnt even worth that much. its got about 175,000 miles on it.

how much do you all think labor would be for an install? and shipping it would be to kentucky
It takes me about 2 1/2 hours to swap out an auto..but you'll prolly be charge 4-5 hours in a shop.
I'll weigh the tranny this afternoon.
it would be of gret help to me if you could detail the three biggest mistakes possible when doing the tranny swap..I'm not sure if pulling the entire unit then splitting ( sure would make teh timing belt easy to change at the same time, or messing with just the tranny would be better. I have a crane. Advice appreciated.
it cost me 80 to ship from WA to CA. Dont remember the weight but that wasnt the cheapest place either
