my choice of amps
okay i'm getting another amp since the bose amp still is'nt working.
so my choice of amp's
that are within something i can afford, and i would need about 50-100 watts per channel.
so one is a
legacy 100 watt x 4.
profile 75 watt x 4.
rampage 60 watt x 4.
well as you can see, i'm looking for something less than $110 , yea i know i'm cheap . . . . .but i've already have 200watt system so . . . . . . .which one guys . . . . .and gal's???
-
have you looked on ebay for used one?
you can find a hole lot better used amp.
-
don't have an account so that cut my chance's of getting one.
-
You can get a pretty nice Alpine that can do the job for you for about 150 bucks.
Bryan.
-
You can get a Kenwood 640x4 for about 100-150 more.
-
DEFINETLY the Profile... ive heard nothing but greatness and my buddy is running one to his subs and its awesome

-
-
I have a spare Rockford Fosgate 4080DSM that i would part with given the right persuasion... let me know if you're interested...
-
i moody i PM ya.
i hooked the bose amp back up it does'nt sound right so, it got fucked up, maybe next time i'll mount it where it was on my lx-i.
-
okay this is how i see it.
my mom has ford/jbl speaker's pioneer 50x4 (non mosfet i think)
but i turn it up to 20 i can still hear the clearly, but the bass fade's out, my dad's 240 front speaker's are clarion factory, they don't distort till higher either so, i think that a amp would really help.
i thought 200watt's mosfet would be enough. .. . . .
-
if youre going cheap cheap the cheapest new amp i can reccomend is a profile, ive ran one and my buddy is still running one, cheap as fuck and not bad, worlds better than pryamid/legacy/boss/rampage/urban as well as most Lanzar
-
lol.. like i said.. PROFILE...
i just installed another Profile system into my buddies LADA lol...
i used 2 California 600M's running at 2 ohms each, throwing 420 RMS to each Audiobahn, and a matching 75rmsX4 amp for his Infinity Reference Components and Coaxials.... he's runnin it off an alpine with 3 4V pre's and it sounds STELLAR! its sooo fuckin loud... im hoping for 140's with it... maybe a bit higher... we had to custom fit a GM 140 amp alternator, but he's still drawing like 150 amps lol... the 3 farad cap helps alot... without it, the headlights almost went completely off when we ran a constant bass note

hmmm . . . even better than jensen???
-
Pryamid/Legacy/Lanzar All belong to the same company. Lanzar used to be a kick ass amp I used to use (Back in 96-97) the Lanzar 2500 on 6 JL w1 15's when they were still Lanzar before they got bought they were kick azz. Each of the above listed amps if you get a higher series will perform decently they are just a bit over rated when it comes to wattage. They newer Profile SPL line isn't to bad of a choice for a mid to low level amp.

damn yall confusing me, i seen a jensen amp at sear's on sale for about $100. has varible cross over and other stuff.
i'm thinking about the profile but the jensen seem's better.

jensen sucks. i used to have 2 channel. it would get so freaking hot i could fry eggs on it. and i wasn't even pushing the damn thing.
anyway, remember one thing, you get what you pay for.
-
jensen sucks...... you damn right!
-
out of all the ones you listed i would defiently go with the profile. I used to have a 600 watt profile and i liked it alot!
-
damn it can't be that bad, well if the profile was under $100 i would buy it, pyramid i think i'll scratch that out, cuase my dad had gotten one to replace the factory clarion amp's in his 240sx and it blew with in a week and he does'nt listen to his music loud, i don't want a rampage cause then that's really bad, even though i've never listened before, but jensen's speaker's i've heard and they handle pretty good and this is the low end model's too.
-
You will really be disapointed with the Jenson... Take everyones advice and forget that brand ever existed.
Just because the specs on an amp says one thing, does not make it a good product. Everyone knows that Jenson is a shitty amp... if you want to try it out just be prepared to piss yourself off. I know several people that bought into the idea that it was a decient product and ALL of them were wishing they went with something else. In the end it is obviously your call but we aren't telling you this because we are pissed off at some Jenson sells rep. or something... they truly are shitty amps.
-
my choice of amps are older rockfords, mid-late 90s, the brick styles, i run those now and am very happy, if i were to buy new amps, i would get cadence amps
-
if youre going for used amps the older rockfords are absolutely killer, way better than the newer stuff. The cadence amps are very nice, im surprised more people dont run them... i was thinking of running a a7hc one time, or maybe an ultradrive cadence amp...
