Gauges for 86?
Well i was looking at this site and i saw that they have gauges for 86 accord now. its for automatic but i know it would fit manual just u have that gay ass little boxs but shit thats crazy. cuz i know 88-89 point INWARD and 86 point OUTWARD correct? http://www.procarparts.com/store-det...86AC%2D7431RGX
-
they just came out with those. e-mail them. i bet they have the manual or are in the process with it.
-
I beleive it has less to do with what year they were made and more to with at what plant the car was produced.
-
its the year isnt it? the 86-87 have the out ward pointing temp and gas gauge and the 88-89 have the inward pointing. i believe anyway.
-
yeah the 88-89 are inward. and the 86-87 are outward. Buts its tight they fanily made some Gauges for the 86-87. Now I dont have to swap Gauge Clusters. 86lxitoofastforme i prolly just email them like u said.
-
To bad I already got an 88-89 cluster and bought the glow gauges for it, lol. o well.
-
ha well i was going to buy the 88-89 cluster but lucky i just looked on procarparts and check. so now going to buy that shit. haha forshow.
-
sweet imma get some of those im tired of the reverse gauges!
-
my '87 has inward temp and fuel gauge needles, its automatic too, so thats probley why.

Honda had 2 companies that provided gauge clusters for our Accords. Denso and Nippon Seiki
In 86-87. The Denso and Nippon Seiki had a different design for the temp/gas gauge.
They used the same template in 88-89 tough.
That's what explains the difference between the 2.
You can Identify who made your gauge cluster my looking at the bottom part of the Speedometer. Denso will be clearly labeled Denso and Nippon Seiki will just say NS.
