Using a timing light with recessed plugs

Hey there

I have this timing light, but it doesn't clip on to the wire like others i've seen. Instead its supposed to connect to the plug, then the wire to the connecter. On my b20 i can't get to it because of the recessed plugs, so i was wondering if i could use it at the other end of the wire at the dizzy. I suspect it wont be accurate and mabe i shouldn't try it at all. Problem is i can't afford a different light.


Anyone have suggestions?

Yes it will work by connecting it at the other end if it fits.
Electricity travels so fast that it will still read accurate.

hehe, figured i'd ask anyway. I've never really messed with the wires n' dizzy besides when doing a tune up.
